Utaha’s ability to be manipulative, assertive and seductive is what really draws me to her. She’s the alpha female, her ability to change the mood by how she speaks is to plainly put it, amazing. Obviously I have a bias towards Utaha Kasumigaoka, she’s my favourite character. As well as at the very end of the movie when she literally mentions the movie title “How to raise a boring girlfriend: Finale”. You don’t see a character break the fourth wall and openly talk about her having a bigger role in the TV series but being subjected to a minor role in the movie. That’s one of those standout moments in anime for me because it’s something you do not see in anime. I love how Utaha routinely breaks the fourth wall. It’s been a movie I’ve been wanting to watch but never got around to doing so… until now.
Now I know I’m a little late with regards to the movie as this was a 2019 release, but hey. Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata Fine THOUGHTS Let’s not forget Yoshitsugu Matsuoka who plays Tomoya Aki in the anime but also has voiced Sora from No Game No Life, Souma from Food Wars!, Kirito from SAO, and Bell from DanMachi. She is someone who has voiced Menma from Anohana, Shiro from No Game No Life, and Inori from Guilty Crown, just to name a few. It was always one of those anime that I really enjoyed, it also helped that two of the main characters were voiced by my favourite voice actors, Ai Kayano who plays Utaha Kasumigaoka. There are times when I think Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata should get another season.
